Our objective for this project was to establish a controlled document index, verify completeness and traceability against the approved deliverables register, and issue coordinated data books for client review and final handover. This process supported configuration control, audit readiness, and timely closeout.
THE CHALLENGE
The project required the compilation, verification, and formal issuance of Manufacturer and Engineering Data Books in accordance with contractual specifications and client documentation requirements. Key challenges included consolidating records from multiple suppliers and engineering disciplines; reconciling document revisions; closing technical and quality comments; and identifying gaps in material certificates, inspection and test records, drawings, and equipment documentation.

OUR APPROACH
We coordinated document controllers, engineering disciplines, quality personnel, and manufacturers to compile and issue the Manufacturer and Engineering Data Books in line with the approved document index and client requirements. A controlled submission and review workflow kept supplier records, engineering deliverables, inspection reports, material certificates, and as-built drawings aligned with the latest approved revisions.
We tracked each required document against the deliverables register, monitored outstanding submissions and review comments, and followed up on missing or inconsistent records. Technical queries were routed to the responsible discipline for resolution, with revision status and comment closure recorded before inclusion in the data books.
Before issuance, we verified each data book for completeness, consistency, equipment traceability, and compliance with the agreed handover requirements. This approach reduced document gaps and rework while supporting timely client review and final project closeout.
